Watercolor is my first love, my first art experience. Since picking up a watercolor brush, at the beckoning of my grandmother; I have tried diligently to study and master the art of painting with the medium. After all these years of painting with watercolors, I still know there is much to learn.
During my art career, I taught Art for 15 years in two small secondary schools in Texas. Teaching allowed me to be exposed to many other art media. I have become very interested and excited about photography, drawing, colored pencil, pen and ink, and jewelry making as well. I am retired from teaching now and will be spending a lot of time traveling. I look forward to sharing the art I create that is inspired from my experiences.
I hope you will forgive me for calling my website Watercolors by Terry when I also include other types of work. Most of the work you will find at this site is watercolor, with some mixed media (watercolor with pen and ink), colored pencil, and acrylics. If you have any questions about my work or if you want to purchase a piece please contact me.
